One of the main goals of Associação Portuguesa de Bancos (APB - Portuguese Banking Association) is to encourage a better understanding of how the banking system works and its importance to the country's economy.

To do this, it is essential to provide information about the banking sector's performance, particularly about its members, and to place this reality in context at any one time with the variables that influence it.

In this section, you will find a number of studies and publications produced by the APB’s Economic and Financial Advisory Centre.

They systematise the banks’ business performance as a whole and by institution, place it in context and report on the trends marking the sector’s performance within the economic and financial setting in which they occur.

The different publications, such as the Activity Report, Summary Report, Overview and Statistical Bulletin, are based on information provided by the APB’s members themselves and also by entities such as Banco de Portugal, among others.
